Print to head up display

CommandArgument DatatypeDefaultMinMax
Format:PrintHUD ---
Python:PrintHUD()
Menu: Effects > Text > Print to head up display
Keys:<Ctrl>+<Insert> or <Ctrl>+<I>  -  Cycle through HUD screens
Related:PosText, MakeTextObj , Print, PrintCon , HUD
Required:

The PrintHUD command redirects the output of the Print command from the console to the top right HUD .

Printing to the head up display is mainly useful for plugins, that retrieve data from a database and must show it to the user. For small messages, ShowMessage may be sufficient. You can still use <Ctrl>+<Insert> to show the object or simulation properties.

Example:
PrintHUD

Clear head up display and redirect printing using Print.

Example macro:

# EXAMPLE PrintHUD
# Requires YASARA Model
Clear
PrintHUD
for i=1 to 25
  for j=0 to 1
    PosText (i),(i+j*13)
    Print "Hello World!"
